A Unix timestamp counts the seconds since 00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 1970 (the Unix epoch), ignoring leap seconds. Negative numbers are dates before 1970. In "Detect automatically" mode, numbers of 100,000,000,000 or more are read as milliseconds (13 digits for today's dates) and smaller ones as seconds; pick a unit if your value is different. Local times use your device's time zone and daylight saving rules. Everything is worked out on your device.
