What Grok Bot brings to a business
Grok Bot is xAI’s app for AI teammates, in beta since August 11, 2026. Each bot has a name, a job, and memory, and works on a cloud computer with a browser, files, and a terminal.
Unlike a normal chatbot, it can:
- Sign in to the tools your business already uses
- Work across apps and websites, even without connectors
- Keep working when your laptop is closed
- Learn workflows you show it once
- Run tasks on a schedule
- Coordinate with other bots
- Ask for approval before consequential actions
Grok Bot is most useful for work that repeats, follows steps, and wastes your best hours.
02
Who can use it
Grok Bot is included with SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, and SuperGrok Heavy, with paid Cursor plans including Teams, and through an Enterprise waitlist. It has its own weekly usage allowance. Apps run on macOS, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad, and Android.
03
Find the right work to hand over
List tasks that are:
- Repeated every day or week
- Done in a browser or common apps
- Rule-based, with clear steps
- Easy to check when finished
- Low risk if a draft is wrong
Start where a mistake is cheap and the time saved is real.
04
Map one workflow first
Write the steps you do today:
- What starts the task
- Which tools you open
- What information you collect
- What decisions you make
- What the finished output looks like
- Who receives it
If you cannot describe the steps, a bot cannot repeat them reliably.
05
Create a focused bot
Example
- Name: Ops Assistant
- Job: Invoice processing
- Description: Collect new invoices from the shared inbox, extract supplier, amount, and due date, add them to the tracker, and flag anything unusual. Never pay or reply.
One bot, one job, one clear finish line.
06
Give safe access
- Connect only the tools the job needs
- Prefer connectors over screen control where they exist
- Type passwords and two-factor codes yourself, never in chat
- Remember that all bots on your account share one cloud computer, its files, and browser sessions
- Remove access the bot no longer needs
Bots act as the signed-in person. They can reach whatever that person can reach.
07
Teach skills by showing
Do the workflow once while the bot watches. It can save the repeatable path as a skill, then run it again on new inputs.
Check the first few runs closely before you rely on it.
08
Run routines on a schedule
- Every morning: summarize new leads and messages
- Every Monday: prepare the weekly pipeline or sales report
- Every Friday: draft the team update
- Every month: reconcile invoices against the tracker
09
Use cases across a business
- Sales
- Research accounts, draft outreach, update the CRM, prepare demo environments.
- Operations
- Process invoices and orders, update trackers, reconcile records.
- Finance
- Collect receipts, prepare reports, flag unusual spending for review.
- Support
- Draft replies, reproduce bugs, file tickets with steps and screenshots.
- HR
- Prepare onboarding checklists, schedule sessions, set up accounts with approval.
- Marketing
- Research competitors, draft posts, compile performance reports.
10
Examples by business type
- Agency
- Weekly client reports and campaign research
- E-commerce
- Order issues, supplier updates, and product listing drafts
- Consulting
- Prospect research and proposal first drafts
- Local service
- Booking follow-ups and review reply drafts
- Software
- Bug reproduction and ticket triage
- Real estate
- Listing research and client update drafts
11
Keep approvals on what matters
Grok Bot sends drafts for approval and asks before consequential decisions. Always approve personally:
- Payments and purchases
- Messages to customers and partners
- Public posts
- Deletions
- Changes to production systems
- Anything involving personal data
Use Auto-review in Settings → General → Auto-review with Ask first for risky actions. Keep any Allow automatically rules narrow.
12
Protect your business data
- Give each task the least access it needs
- Keep sensitive files out of the shared bot workspace
- Check customer data rules before connecting customer systems
- Use team plans and admin controls when several people use bots
- Pause routines and sign out of tools you stop using
13
Measure the results
- Hours saved per week
- Tasks completed without correction
- Errors caught in review
- Speed of response to customers
- Cost of usage versus time saved
If a bot creates more review work than it saves, simplify the task or stop it.
14
What bots handle and what you handle
- Bots handle
- Research, data entry, drafts, routine updates, reports, and preparing work.
- You handle
- Strategy, customers, approvals, money, hiring decisions, and quality.
15
Master business prompt
You are my [role] for [business], which [what the business does].
Your job: [workflow]. Use only: [tools]. Never use: [tools or data].
Each time, [steps]. Put the result in [location] and message me a short summary.
Always ask before you send, pay, post, delete, or change customer records.
If something is unclear or unusual, stop and ask me.
The real opportunity
Do not ask: “What can Grok Bot do for my business?” Ask: “Which weekly task can one bot take over, with my approval at the end?”
