What is Meetily?
Meetily is an open-source AI meeting assistant that records your microphone and system audio, transcribes it on your device with Whisper or Parakeet models and writes summaries, with no cloud required. Summaries stay fully local when you use Ollama, or you can connect cloud models instead. It runs on macOS and Windows (Linux by building from source) and is released under the MIT licence.
Pros
- Transcribes on your own computer, no cloud needed
- Free and open source (MIT)
- Records system audio, so no bot joins your meeting
Cons
- Local AI needs a reasonably powerful computer
- Linux requires building from source
Who should use Meetily
People who want private AI meeting notes without sending audio to the cloud.
Who may not need it
Teams that want shared notes and CRM syncing out of the box.
