Higgsfield AI is a San Francisco generative AI company founded in 2023 by Alex Mashrabov and Erzat Dulat. Its browser studio brings many image and video models together in one workspace, aimed at creators and marketing teams.
Higgsfield is a studio, not a single model. The skill is choosing the right tool for each shot.
02
Models you can use
Higgsfield wraps third-party models, such as Seedance, Kling, Veo, Wan, Nano Banana, and GPT Image, and adds its own, such as Soul and DoP. The model list changes often, so check what is available today.
03

04
Get started
Create an account and check the starter credits
Try one image model and one video model
Note the credit cost shown before each generation
Save prompts that work
Upgrade only when you know your monthly usage
05
Understand credits and plans
Higgsfield uses credits, and different models cost very different amounts. Reviews report plan prices and credit amounts that disagree, and some report that credits expire. Check Higgsfield’s pricing page for current plans, credit expiry, and commercial-use terms before you buy.
Draft with cheaper models
Use premium models only for final shots
Generate short clips, then edit them together
Check whether checkout defaults to annual billing
06
Direct cinematic shots
In Cinema Studio, describe the shot like a director:
Subject and action
Camera movement, such as dolly-in or orbit
Lens and framing
Lighting and mood
Duration and aspect ratio
A slow dolly-in on a runner tying their shoes at dawn, low angle, warm backlight, shallow depth of field, 5 seconds, 9:16.
07
Use Soul ID with consent
Soul ID trains on photos of a real person, so get clear written consent from that person first. Never train on photos of someone else, a celebrity, or a public figure.
Every generation through the connector uses credits, even models that are free on the website, and there is no built-in spending cap. Tell the assistant to ask before each generation.

Katana
Higgsfield Katana, launched on October 8, 2026, is a video editing tool inside Claude, powered by Claude Motion. You give it a reference edit and your own assets, and it recreates the style. Start it with /katana after connecting Higgsfield.
11
Check before you publish
Commercial-use rights on your plan
Consent from anyone shown
Rights to music, logos, and references
Platform disclosure rules for realistic AI content
Faces, hands, and text for AI artifacts
12
Mistakes to avoid
Burning premium credits on rough drafts
Letting credits expire unused
Training characters without consent
Copying other creators’ edits or footage
Letting an assistant generate without a credit limit
13
Master Higgsfield prompt
Create a [image or video] for [purpose] on [platform].
Subject: [subject]. Action: [action]. Setting: [setting]. Style: [style].
Camera: [movement, lens, framing]. Lighting: [lighting]. Duration: [seconds]. Aspect ratio: [ratio].
Use [model] for drafts. Show me the credit cost before generating, and do not exceed [number] credits.
The golden rule
Do not chase every new model. Learn one image model and one video model well, budget your credits, and direct every shot.
