Higgsfield launched Katana on October 8, 2026, calling it its most powerful AI video editing tool. It runs inside Claude, is powered by Claude Motion, and connects through the Higgsfield MCP connector.
With Katana you can:
Upload a reference video or image
Add your own characters, products, or clothing
Recreate the reference’s pacing, transitions, and style
Create editable motion graphics
Make product launch videos and short-form edits
Produce several versions from one setup
Borrow the rhythm of a great edit. Make the content your own.
02
What you need
A Claude account that supports connectors
A Higgsfield account with credits
The Higgsfield connector added in Claude
A reference edit and your own assets
Higgsfield has not published a single required Claude plan or a per-edit credit cost. Claude Motion itself is a beta on Team and Enterprise plans, so check what your account supports.
On managed company plans, an admin may need to allow the connector first.
04
Pick a reference
Choose an edit whose pacing and style you want
Or start from a community preset on Higgsfield’s Katana page
Use references you are allowed to learn from
Never copy someone else’s footage, music, or characters
05
Add your own content
Product photos or videos
Your characters or brand assets
Clothing or styling references
Text and prompts describing the result
Use only assets you own or have permission to use.
06
Generate several versions
Katana can produce several versions from one setup. Compare them, keep the strongest direction, and extend it.
More versions are not always better. Pick one direction and refine it.
07
Refine the result
Ask Claude for specific changes
Adjust timing and transitions
Change text and colors
Swap in better assets
Check every frame before export
08
Watch your credits
Every generation through the Higgsfield connector uses Higgsfield credits, and there is no built-in spending cap.
Do not spend more than [number] Higgsfield credits. Show me the estimated cost and ask for approval before every generation.
09
Check exports before handoff
Higgsfield has not fully documented export formats or which project structure survives export. Before you promise a client an editable file, test the export you need.
10
Great uses for Katana
Product launches
Short, punchy launch videos
Brand content
Motion graphics in your style

Trending short-form edit styles with your own content
Fashion and cars
Preset-driven showcase edits
11
Use it responsibly

The golden rule
Do not copy a viral edit. Learn its rhythm, use your own assets, and make something only your brand could make.
