How to use this list
Every skill below is real and published by Anthropic or by the tool’s own team. Most of Anthropic’s skills come from its public anthropics/skills repository.
- Claude Code
- /plugin marketplace add anthropics/skills, then install the skill sets you want.
- claude.ai
- Anthropic’s built-in document skills work automatically when code execution and file creation is on. Upload other skills as a ZIP under Customize, then Skills.
Install a few skills you will use, not every skill you can find.

From tool makers and the community
18 · Superpowers
A popular open-source skills library by Jesse Vincent (obra) that teaches Claude Code a disciplined process: brainstorming, writing plans, test-driven development, systematic debugging, and subagent-driven execution with code review. Accepted into Anthropic’s official Claude plugins marketplace in January 2026.
/plugin install superpowers@claude-plugins-official
19 · Remotion skills
Official skills from Remotion that teach Claude to write correct Remotion code, so you can create videos with React by prompting. Remotion is free for individuals and organizations of up to three people; larger companies need a company license.

How to choose skills
- Start with your most repeated task
- Prefer official skills from the tool’s own team
- Check the license for commercial use
- Read the SKILL.md before installing
- Test on one real task
- Remove skills you do not use
Every installed skill adds a description Claude has to consider. Fewer, better skills work best.
10
Stay safe with third-party skills
- Skills can include scripts that run code
- Read every file in a skill before installing
- Avoid skills from unknown sources
- Never add credentials to a skill
- Keep approvals on for risky actions
11
Build your own 21st skill
The most valuable skill is often the one that captures your own process. Prompt:
Use skill-creator to turn my process for [task] into a skill. Interview me first, then draft and test it.
The real opportunity
Do not collect skills. Install the few that remove your most repeated work.

- Writing
- Design

- Video
- Your own
Start with one official skill for one real task, then build the skill only you can write: your own process.
