Anthropic launched Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion in beta on October 8, 2026. Dashboards turns your data into live charts. Motion turns charts and reports into short animated explainers.
Together they let you:
Ask a business question in plain language
Get a live, checkable dashboard
Pick the one chart that matters
Turn it into a 30-second animation
Share it with leaders, clients, or your audience
Dashboards find the insight. Motion makes people remember it.

Who can use each
Claude Dashboards
Beta on paid plans: Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise
Claude Motion
Beta on Team and Enterprise only
Enterprise
Both are off by default. Admins enable them in Organization settings → Artifacts.
To use both, you need a Team or Enterprise plan. Beta features can change.
03
Connect your data
Dashboards supports data sources including BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, ClickHouse, and Salesforce.
Use read-only access
Connect only the tables you need
Agree on metric definitions first
04
Build the dashboard
Build a live dashboard of monthly recurring revenue, new customers, and churn for the last 12 months from our Snowflake billing tables. Show the query and refresh time on every chart.
Each chart has its own SQL query and refresh time. Open the queries behind your key numbers before you trust them.
Type /motion, or choose Output → Motion in the message box, and give a brief:
Create a 30-second animation of the churn chart for our leadership meeting. Show churn falling from 4.1% to 2.8%, then reveal the two reasons: faster onboarding and annual plans. End with “Next: expand onboarding to all plans.” Use our navy and white brand colors.
Motion animates text, charts, shapes, and images as editable code. It does not generate footage or AI people.

12
Master combined prompt
From [data source], build a live dashboard answering: [business question]. Show the query and refresh time on every chart.
Then tell me the single most important change and its likely causes, and wait for my confirmation.
After I confirm, create a [length]-second Motion animation of that insight for [audience], using exactly the numbers on the dashboard, in [brand colors], ending with [takeaway].
The golden rule
Do not animate data you have not checked. Verify the dashboard first, then make the insight move.
