The connectors that make Claude most useful, by job, and how to set them up safely
Short answer
A free guide to the best Claude connectors in October 2026: what connectors are, how to add them, the best picks for email and calendar, documents, team chat, projects, design, sales and support, finance, and developers, connector packs by role, tokens, privacy, and admin controls.
Connectors let Claude read from and work in the apps you already use, so it can answer with your real emails, files, and data. Most are built on MCP, the open standard Anthropic created for connecting AI to tools.
Some connectors also show interactive app views inside the chat, such as designs or boards.
Claude with your context beats Claude guessing.
