Best new AI agent, UI component and agent memory resources: 7 October

A roundup of yesterday's directory additions: tools for running and extending coding agents, agent memory, agents that operate apps, interface components and icons, and developer tools.

The directory additions from 7 October are dominated by tools for coding agents: dashboards, task boards, skill managers and orchestration frameworks, plus several projects that give agents memory or let them operate real apps and computers. There is also a large batch of interface component libraries and icon sets, a few security and developer tools, and two learning and business resources. Features and pricing change, so check each tool's own page before you commit.

Running and extending coding agents

Better Codex adds a work layer to the Codex desktop app, turning conversations into tasks organised by project, status and owner, with per-role model, permission and concurrency settings; it only works with Codex Desktop. AI Agent Session Center shows every Claude Code and Codex session in one place, so you can see which agent is waiting, finished or stuck, queue prompts and restore your workspace after a restart. Its macOS app is not notarised, so first launch needs extra steps, and Windows users must run it from source.

skillshare manages skills, agents, rules, MCP connections and hooks in one place and syncs them to Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi and more, with a CLI and a desktop app. The gradually.ai Claude Code Skills Directory lists over 400 published skills with filters by category, publisher and stars; skills come from many authors, so check each one before installing.

Meta_Kim turns a vague request into a goal with success criteria, coordinates agents and skills, and reports which outcomes were actually verified. VexJoy Agent is a large toolkit of agents, skills, hooks and scripts behind a single /do command, and Pi Herdsman turns separate Pi coding agent sessions into a coordinated team with background and nested delegation. All three have a learning curve, and extra orchestration can use more tokens. deepseek-harness-jev is an unofficial, early-stage plugin that connects DeepSeek Harness to Jev for agent supervision, with every feature off by default.

video-shotcraft is an agent skill for Claude Code and Codex that storyboards, animates and sound-designs product videos with Remotion, using shot recipe cards and style previews; long renders can use a lot of tokens.

Agent memory and knowledge bases

Honeycomb runs a local daemon that captures what your coding agents learn, so a decision made in Claude Code is remembered in Cursor the next day, and it regularly merges duplicates and retires stale facts. MIRA OS is an open-source AI system built around one ongoing conversation whose older parts become memories that decay when they stop being useful; it is technical to set up. Both use the AGPL-3.0 licence, which limits closed-source reuse. Wiki Graph is a command-line tool, built around Andrej Karpathy's LLM Wiki idea, that compiles long texts into a maintained wiki and searchable knowledge graphs tracing each claim back to its source; it needs Node.js 22 or later.

Agents that operate apps and computers

String gives agents one surface for apps, websites, documents, files, APIs and shell sessions through three commands, and runs as a CLI, a daemon or a single MCP tool. Uni-CLI turns an intent into a selected operation with structured JSON output across web APIs, browsers, desktop apps and MCP servers. tlgr is a command-line Telegram client that lets coding agents read and send messages; it logs into your personal account, so handle it carefully.

OpenMausBot is a local-first app where each bot in a chat sidebar is a real Claude or Codex agent running on your machine, using your existing subscriptions. SpaceO runs the Mac apps your agents use on separate headless virtual displays so you can keep working, with a viewer to pause or take over; Electron apps such as VS Code and Cursor cannot run inside it. DeskVNC is a remote desktop client for VNC, RDP and SSH with an optional MCP control plane for AI agents. Giving agents control of real accounts and machines carries risk, so review permissions and keep a person in the loop.

Interface components, icons and inspiration

Aceternity UI offers more than 200 copy-paste React components and templates built on Tailwind CSS and Motion, known for animated effects; its best templates are in the paid Pro plan. Magic UI provides open-source animated components installed with the shadcn CLI, with Pro templates sold separately, and Motion Primitives is an animated UI kit for React, Next.js and Tailwind CSS with some paid blocks. Heavy animation can hurt performance if overused. Uiverse is a free community collection of buttons, toggles, cards, loaders and inputs you can copy as HTML and CSS, Tailwind or React; quality varies between contributors.

mcpcn is a free set of React components for MCP Apps that run inside ChatGPT, Claude and other AI clients, using the same registry format as shadcn/ui. Koven Animated Icons is a set of 207 animated React icons that read colours from your shadcn/ui theme, and 3dicons is an open-source library of over 1,440 3D icons free for personal and commercial use. Viewport UI collects UI designs and motion studies shared by designers on X, each credited to its designer, and Agent Native Video Graphics is Riley Brown's library of motion graphics with the prompt behind each one; a sign-in is needed to see the full library.

Reliability, security and developer tools

NuGuard is an open-source toolkit that builds an AI software bill of materials for an agentic app and checks it with static analysis, policy checks and red-teaming, including prompt-injection attacks; only test systems you own or are authorised to test. WFGY is a project for making AI reasoning, retrieval and agent workflows more reliable, including a checklist for diagnosing common pipeline failures. Awesome AI SRE collects AI tools for site reliability engineering, though many entries are paid products and summaries come from vendors' own claims.

bunqueue is a job queue for Bun that runs in memory or on a single SQLite file, with cron scheduling and a native MCP server. Altium Designer MCP lets AI assistants write Altium footprint and symbol libraries; AI-made footprints still need an engineer's review. Antigravity CLI Statusline adds a responsive statusline with model, context and quota bars to Antigravity CLI.

Business and learning

IDEM is a pan-African AI platform that turns a short business idea into a brand identity, business plan and financial model, pitch deck and more; self-hosting needs Docker and several services. IELTS Practice is an open-source web app for practising IELTS reading and listening with full practice tests and score tracking, which you run yourself for personal study.

These are only some of the tools added recently. Browse the full directory to filter by category, type, pricing and goal and find the right fit for your work.
