What is String?
String gives AI agents one surface for apps, websites, local documents, files, APIs and shell sessions. Websites can expose navigation and actions in Markdown so agents use them like apps, and ordinary pages open as clean Markdown. Agents learn three commands (/open, /act and /info) and String runs as a CLI, a daemon or a single MCP tool.
