What is Dormice?
Dormice is a self-hosted, E2B-compatible sandbox platform for AI agents. You run it on your own machine, and each sandbox is permanent — it cools down through active, frozen, stopped and archived states, then wakes in milliseconds when needed. A single binary bundles the daemon, SQLite ledger and API; the official e2b SDK works by changing two URLs. It also ships with a skill in the Agent Skills format so coding agents can install and operate it themselves.
