What is Tridactyl?

Tridactyl is a free, open-source Firefox extension that gives you Vim-style keyboard control over the browser. Follow links with short hints, open, close and switch tabs, search and jump through history with a command line, so browsing and research move at the speed you type.

Third-party open-source projects. We are not affiliated with their authors; repositories are provided as-is by their maintainers. Review each project's license, code and security before installing. See our Disclaimer.

Pros: what Tridactyl does well

  • Control almost everything without the mouse
  • Deeply customisable commands
  • Free and open source

Cons: where it falls short

  • Firefox only
  • Vim shortcuts take time to learn

Who Tridactyl is for
