What is Shottr?

Shottr captures full-screen, window, area and scrolling screenshots on macOS, then lets you annotate, blur, measure pixels, pick colours and pull text out with OCR. It can be used free for as long as you like with most features included, and the app occasionally reminds you to buy a licence.

Pros: what Shottr does well

  • Lightweight and very fast
  • Scrolling capture and OCR
  • Pixel measuring for designers

Cons: where it falls short

  • Mac only
  • Occasional prompts to buy a licence

Who Shottr is for
