What is Lipsum?
Lipsum generates as many paragraphs, words, bytes or lists of Lorem Ipsum as you need, with the option to start with the familiar opening line. It also explains where the text comes from and offers it in many languages. It is free, simple and has been around for over two decades.
Pros: what Lipsum does well
- Instant placeholder text
- Choose paragraphs, words or lists
- No sign-up
Cons: where it falls short
- Ads on the page
- Plain Latin only, no themed text
Who Lipsum is for
Designers and developers filling layouts before the real copy is ready.
Who can skip it
Writers who already have their final content.
