What is Leonardo?
Leonardo generates colour scales and themes based on target contrast ratios, so every shade in your palette meets accessibility needs in light and dark modes. It comes from Adobe as an open source project, is free in the browser and can export tokens and code for design systems.
Pros: what Leonardo does well
- Builds palettes around contrast
- Handles light and dark themes
- Free and open source
Cons: where it falls short
- Steeper learning curve
- Overkill for one-off palettes
