01

How the plan works

Spend 20 to 30 minutes a day for 30 days. Each week adds a new layer of Claude, and every practice task uses your real work, so you get value while you learn.

Mastery is not knowing every feature. It is using the right one without thinking.

02

Before day one

  • Pick the plan that fits your use; some features need paid plans
  • Install the Claude app on desktop and phone
  • Write down three tasks you want Claude to help with
03

Week one: prompting foundations

Days 1 and 2
Use role, task, context, format, tone, and constraints in every prompt
Days 3 and 4
Paste real documents and ask for summaries, critiques, and rewrites
Days 5 and 6
Practise follow-ups instead of starting over
Day 7
Save your five best prompts as templates
04

Week two: Projects, files, and artifacts

Days 8 and 9
Create Projects for your main areas with instructions and files
Days 10 and 11
Make documents, tables, and small apps as artifacts
Days 12 and 13
Use extended thinking on a hard decision
Day 14
Pick the right model: Haiku for quick tasks, Sonnet for most work, Opus for the hardest
05

Week three: connectors, Research, and memory

Days 15 and 16
Connect your email, calendar, and files
Days 17 and 18
Run Research on a real question and check its sources
Days 19 and 20
Set up memory and styles, and review what Claude remembers
Day 21
Build a daily briefing prompt using your connected apps
06

Week four: skills, agents, and building

Days 22 and 23
Turn a repeated process into a Skill
Days 24 and 25
Hand a multi-step task to Cowork or Claude in Chrome, with approvals on
Days 26 and 27
Try Claude Code: build a small tool or automate a file task
Days 28 and 29
Combine it all into one end-to-end workflow
Day 30
Review your progress and plan what is next
07

Habits of expert users

  • They give context before asking
  • They define what “done” looks like
  • They ask Claude to question them first on big tasks
  • They check facts and keep judgment calls their own
  • They save what works and reuse it
08

Measure your progress

  • Hours saved per week on your three chosen tasks
  • Number of saved templates, Projects, and Skills
  • Tasks you now hand to Claude that you used to do by hand
09

Avoid these traps

  • Trying every feature in one day
  • Using Claude only for questions you could search
  • Trusting answers without checking
  • Sharing private data with features you have not reviewed
10

What to learn next

  • Advanced prompting for agents
  • MCP and custom connectors
  • The Claude API for building your own tools
  • Claude Design, Motion, and Dashboards if your plan includes them

The golden rule

Do not try to master Claude in a weekend. Practise a little every day on your real work, add one layer each week, and keep what saves you time.

  • Prompting
  • Projects
  • Artifacts
  • Connectors
  • Research
  • Skills
  • Claude Code

Write down your three tasks today and start day one of the plan with the first one.
